tvd-art: I just want you to go. I want to talk about this scene for a moment. No, this time I didn’t cry. But yes, it hurt me watching it. It hurt me cause deep down I was wondering whether he was so harsh in order to make her go home and protect her, or because he wanted to protect Damon, too. To go back and see what’s Klaus doing to him. Also, by keeping Elena home, he may keep Damon there, too. I just don’t think he did it just for the sake of her. He could have said that he still loved her but that if she loves him too, she needs to stay home no matter what. I think she would’ve listen to him. But he knew who he was, and he knew he does the same things now, too, even if he doesn’t enjoy them anymore, he still kills all those innocent people. And I guess he just didn’t want to keep Elena waiting, he wanted to show her that he’s not the good person she thought he was. But also deep down he wanted to tell her that he’s not better than Damon. Because he’s not the selfish character people think he is. He let go of her despite all the pain. And he deserves some acknowledge for it.
